Dr Josephine Kimaro, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Zanzibar Presidential Delivery Bureau (PDB), is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in Organizational Development and Project Management. Dr Josephine Kimaro has spearheaded various initiatives to improve operational efficiency, enhance organizational culture, and drive sustainable growth.

At the launch of PDB, Dr Josephine Kimaro became Acting Chief Executive Officer. She oversaw its establishment and introduction of the delivery approach. Dr Josephine Kimaro oversaw implementation of His Excellency the President of Zanzibar, Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi Top Priority Projects (Blue Economy; Infrastructure; Social Services - Education/Health/Water/Empowerment; Tourism and supported by Technology). She led the Bureau team of experts that offer Technical Assistance, Mobilize Resources, Coordinate stakeholders for alignment, Monitor and Evaluate, Report Progress and Communicate results. The ultimate goal of the Bureau is to institutionalize a culture of delivery in key government institutions to ensure timely delivery and measurable impact.

Prior to her current role, Dr Josephine Kimaro held various leadership positions in the private and public sectors, where she gained extensive experience in organizational change management, strategic planning, and performance improvement. She has also mentored and coached emerging leaders in various industries, helping them unlock their potential and achieve their career goals.
