Country Head, East Africa - UK Export Finance
Isaac Kahara is an accomplished project finance and financial risk management professional with close to 20 years of experience in various leadership roles in corporate, consultancy and public sector. He is currently the Country Head - East Africa at UK Export Finance (UKEF), whose role is to increase access to UKEF's financing offer, originate and structure bankable projects across East Africa.
Prior to joining UKEF, Isaac was a financial risks advisor at Deloitte for a decade, in addition to several years in various roles in finance, risk management and treasury management for large corporations.
As new cities emerge, localizing supply chains and processing critical minerals present powerful opportunities for building resilient economies and generating long-term employment. This session explores how urban developments can anchor strategic industries, harness regional resources, and design policy frameworks that drive sustainable job creation while enhancing national and global supply chain security.
