CEO - Itana
Mayowa Olugbile is the Chief Executive Officer of Itana, building Africa's first digital free zone, focused on mobilising talent, capital and trade, for the enablement the digital economy. An entrepreneur and venture operator, Mayowa brings over a decade of experience leading high-growth teams, scaling enterprises from inception to valuations exceeding $100M to $1B, and shaping the landscape of African innovation and finance.
Prior to Itana, Mayowa served as President of Frontier Enterprises, a portfolio of companies addressing fundamental needs across food, housing, and urban infrastructure in Africa. He was also a General Partner at Future Africa, one of the continent's most active early-stage venture funds, where he co-led investments in over 100 startups, unlocking transformative outcomes across sectors and borders.
From 2015 to 2019, he was a key member of the founding team at Flutterwave Inc., leading finance and strategic operations through its growth from a seed-stage startup to a Series B fintech powerhouse. During his tenure, he drove strategic fundraising of $65M in equity, facilitated key acquisitions, and shaped core business intelligence and pricing models that helped define the company's trajectory.
Mayowa currently serves on the Board of ADHI, a Rwanda-based construction firm pioneering new models in affordable housing and smart urban development. His earlier career spans investment banking and consulting across Nigeria and the UK.
