CEO and Africa Regional Network Chair - Kenya Green Building Society and World Green Building Council
My objective is to showcase Africa to the world and redefine sustainability in a way that truly reflects the realities, aspirations, and potential of the Global South "” an inclusive approach that is cognisant of Africa's journey, people, and challenges.
Currently, I serve as the CEO & ESG Lead at the Kenya Green Building Society and as a Special Elect Member of the Nairobi City County Assembly, where I champion the urban agenda, climate action, and the inclusion of women, youth, and minorities. I have led landmark initiatives including the development of county-level Green Building Guidelines, the successful passage of the Nairobi City County Climate Change Act, and influenced Kenya's global leadership for the built environment at COP28, COP29, and the World Urban Forum.
What does it take to build cities that are not only smart, but livable and future-ready? This session explores how smart technologies, sustainable planning, and resilient design are coming together in the next generation of urban developments. From infrastructure and mobility to governance and land use, we'll discuss how cities can adapt to rapid change while staying inclusive, efficient, and environmentally sound.
